DESDE LA DERROTA Y EL TRIUNFO: Dos obras, dos miradas sobre el mismo desgraciado contexto.
Interesante fecha para dedicarla a la reflexión y la lectura. Si bien, el 11 de septiembre y su significación (bien tratada por Roberto en el “ahoratodos…”) ya no tiene esa disociación de criterios como antaño, las evidencias señalan lo nefasto de su legado en Chile, de todas maneras podemos revisitar a través de la literatura dos visiones opuestas respecto del contexto. No voy a profundizar en dos obras tan archiconocidas solo va mi recomendación.
En “Cuentos en Dictadura”, tenemos la visión de los perdedores reflejada en 27 cuentos que plasman la persecución, el miedo la tortura y todo lo nefasto que significó la implantación de la dictadura en nuestro país. Si bien, hay cuentos que tienen cierta debilidad estilística quizás emanada de lo propagandística de ciertas motivaciones al momento de escribir, encontramos por lo menos 10 cuentos de gran nivel en esta recopilación. Es importante señalar que escriben Ariel Dorfman, Ramón Díaz Eterovic, Poli Délano, Ana María del Río, Hernán Ribera Letelier, Luis Sepúlveda y nuestro nuevo Premio Nacional José Miguel Varas, entre otros. El formato de cuento corto hace más amble la lectura, en contraste con la tremenda carga emocional del contenido de las obras, dicotomía que hace aún más interesante su visita.
“Las películas de mi vida” es el “lujito” que se dio Alberto Fuguet para presentarnos su afición por el cine. Esta novela relata la vida de un chico, hijo de autoexiliados de derecha en tiempos de Allende cuya infancia transcurre en EE.UU. Y que una vez derrocado el presidente de izquierda es desarraigado en una vuelta a Chile que nunca deseó, realidad que junto con su situación familiar, lo hace buscar en el mundo del cine su escape y refugio (hay algo de autobiográfico). Si bien ese es el nudo argumental, Fuguet presenta de manera ágil y vivencial el contexto de dictadura desde la realidad de los vencedores, ganancia no reflejada en su vida privada. Se lee fácil.

Si no me equivoco, "Las Películas..." no es el único libro de Fuguet ambientado en aquella época. Lo que es más notable de ese libro es el cine y los terremotos. Eso sí que es notable.
Cuando estaba en el colegio, tuve que leer "No pasó nada" de Antonio Skármeta, y se parecía mucho a las ambientaciones de Fuguet.
En fin. El otro no lo he leído :-P
Pucha, generalmente no opino respecto de comentarios relativos a los post cuando cuestionan estos, pero en este caso solo quiero aclarar algunas cosas, porque pensé que había explicitado mi recomendación...pero bueno.
- "Las películas.." no es el único libro ambientado en la época, ya Matías Vicuña y sus peripecias en "Mala Onda" se insertaban en dicho contexto. Pero me parece que la descripción del período en "Las películas..." es más certero para el ejercicio que propongo ya que es presentado desde la vivencia de una familia de derecha que vuelve tras el golpe. (pensé que lo había señalado bien).
- Creo que también me referí a que lo nodal del libro es el gusto por el cine del protagonista y su escapatoria en él. Pero eso no quita que podamos apreciar el marco histórico en que presentó dicha historia. (No hagamos una lectura tan unívoca y plana).
- Por último, el libro de Skármeta, es interesante, pero es asimilable y no contrapuesto a "Cuentos en Dictadura". Recordemos que "No pasó nada" presenta la vida de un adolescente (Lucho) cuya familia fue exiliada en Alemania. Por tanto, no sirve para el ejercicio comparativo que propuse.
En fin, me da lata realizar estas precisiones, pero es en bien de quienes se dan la lata de leer estos pequeños y las muchas de las veces, cuestionables, comentarios.
